SCIENTIFIC AMERICAN’S EPIC MATH BATTLES SERIES

BACKSTORY

In the time I’ve worked with Scientific American, I’ve been involved mostly with their 60 Second Science podcast.  But they’ve sent other projects my way as well.

The newly created series, “Epic Math Battles,” represents a new kind of animal.

Others are responsible for the writing, voice over, editing and fact checking.  One or two other animators are also brought in to see these through. If you check the credits at the end, you quickly realize just how many people are involved.

The result is fun series to get viewers interested and engaged in a little hypothetical math trivia.  And, as you can see from the featured image above and the final animation, concept art develops around the goals of the client.

In the end these are a lot of fun!  The people at Scientific American are happy…and I’m happy they’re happy!

Head on over to the SciAm video page to see what other kinds of science content they produce. And, if you’re interested in seeing what else I’ve done for them, take a look at my case studies, where I describe (in  more detail) my involvement with their 60 Second Science podcast.
